Aluminum Oxide (Alumina) Spray Coating - Plate
Ceramic Coating Part
Alumina Insulation Thermal Spray Coating
It is characterized by high withstand voltage insulation, and pure alumina is usually used
as the coating material.
PLATE
Expected dielectric strength depends on many variables, but we will generally describe it
in terms of coating thickness.
Over 100um : 1kV
Over 300um : 2~2.5kV
Over 500um : 3kV is the standard.
However, when the coating thickness is usually more than 500um, cracks in the coating
layer are easy to occur and the possibility of peeling is also increased.
And the unit price is expensive.
However, if the coating is less than 100um, it is often impossible to maintain sufficient
withstand voltage.
So, in the case of a product with a low coating thickness, liquid ceramic is applied to cover
the pores of the thermal spray coating layer.
However, it is recommended to maintain the thickness of the thermal spray coating
around 300um if possible.
In addition, the thermal spray coating method has a high price range among coating
methods, so in the case of products requiring low withstand voltage,
We recommend other, less expensive coating methods (Teflon, fluorine resin, PE, etc.).
Also, the thermal spray coating generally has a rough surface (Ra 4 ~ 6), so please refer to it.
