Arc Thermal Spray Coating - MESH

Coating Part

Arc Aluminium Thermal Spray Coating

The electricity supplied from the power source is connected to the positive and negative

poles of the two wires, and generated by the contact of the wires at the tip end.

It is a coating method in which materials are melted and sprayed by an electric arc.

The arc temperature is approximately 3,000 ~ 4,000 degrees, and alloy coating is possible

by using two different wire materials for the anode and cathode.

The disadvantage is that the wires of the anode and cathode must contact to generate an

arc, so a metal material with good electrical conductivity (Aluminum, copper, zinc, nickel,

molybdenum, etc.) can be coated, and the temperature is low and the spraying speed is

slow compared to plasma spraying. It has poor mechanical and physical properties.

Before/After ARC AL Thermal Spray Coating

In the case of electric arc wire thermal spray coating, which is mainly done by the

company, It is a 10 series wire made of more than 99% aluminum and has low strength

but high thermal and electrical conductivity and good corrosion resistance.
